Description

MHFA provides awareness around mental health and mental illness and teaches a support scaffold to guide supportive conversations. The course provides practical scenarios for general support and highlights the actions needed in a mental health crisis.

The 12-hour course caters for all learning styles and provides hands-on scenario-based learning. In depth resources (MHFA textbook) included. Participants will receive a certificate and 3 year accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider.

Mental Health Response is a contemporary course that focuses on understanding mental health issues and developing the confidence to engage and offer support to those developing a mental health issue or mental health disorder. This course also provides evidence-based strategies to follow when generating self-care, support or in the event of a crisis.

Description

This 90 minute Coach2Cope course has been designed by Equi Energy Youth’s co-founder Dr Stephen Spencer (PhD). The course is an evidence based and trauma informed professional learning session with programs designed for Executive, Wellbeing Teams, School Counsellors, Classroom Teachers, SLSO’s and coaches. The training will teach an ‘in the moment’ response to young people experiencing an episode of psychological distress.

The Strive and Support (High School) Workshop is a proactive session designed to give participants awareness about wellbeing and an understanding of the relationship between mental and physical health. This session is backed by Equi Energy Youth’s co-founder Dr Stephen Spencer (PhD). This evidence based and trauma informed framework builds and identifies ‘in the moment’ support and strategies a young person experiencing an episode of psychological distress can use.
