Course Overview
MHFA Engaging Leaders is a nationally recognised information session developed by Mental Health First Aid Australia specifically for employers, senior leaders, decision-makers, and influencers.
The 90-minute session equips leaders with information about the behavioural and physical signs that often indicate when an employee is experiencing a mental health problem, and practical approaches for supporting team members experiencing mental illness. It also provides a comprehensive overview of what staff and employees learn in a full 12-hour Mental Health First Aid course, the framework for creating mentally healthy workplaces, and the role of MHFAiders and MHFA Officers in building a culture of care.

This session is led by an MHFA-trained and Licensed Instructor and is available face-to-face or online. While the session does not lead to accreditation, every participant leaves with the knowledge, confidence, and strategic understanding needed to champion mental health from the top down, an essential foundation for any organisation rolling out MHFA training across the broader workforce.
