
Course Overview
The MHFA Refresher is designed for individuals who have previously completed the 12-hour Mental Health First Aid course and need to refresh their knowledge and skills in a safe, supportive learning environment.
This evidence-based session ensures participants stay current with the latest research and best practice, and provides the opportunity to extend their nationally recognised accreditation as a certified Mental Health First Aider for a further 3 years.

Safe Work Australia and the new Work Health and Safety legislation place ongoing duty of care obligations on employers to maintain a workforce capable of identifying and responding to mental health risks. The MHFA Refresher is the practical way to keep your accredited Mental Health First Aiders current, confident, and compliant, protecting both your people and your organisation's commitment to a mentally healthy workplace.

This 4-hour course caters to all learning styles and provides a safe environment for MHFAiders to refresh their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and rebuild confidence. Participants will need a copy of the MHFA manual. On successful completion of the MHFA Refresher, participants will extend their nationally recognised accreditation as a certified Mental Health First Aider for a further 3 years.
